My name is Bailey Edwards. I am currently in the 9th grade. I am a very responsible, honest, hardworking and loyal person. I am easy to get along with. I have artistic many abilities. I have maintained all A’s in my academic career for as long as I can remember. I have been elected “Student of the Month” numerous times in my middle school career by teachers. I have also received 2 plaques for “Most Outstanding Foreign Language Award”. I strive to be accepted in Beta Club and graduate with a very high GPA. I am interested in pursuing the art industry or becoming involved in cosmetology. I intend to persue this career, because I am a very artistic person. Others may also say I’m very creative. I have always wanted to be an artist or cosmetologist/hair dresser. When I was little, you could always find me painting, drawing, or sitting with scissors in one hand and a Barbie doll with cut hair in the other. Some skills or interests I have now that would help me in this career would include that I am a hands-on person. I am creative, patient and I have the ability to picture the outcome of something being transformed. I also enjoy working with people. Jobs available in this career include a fine artist, or cosmetologist/hair stylist. I would be able to work in my own environment or a beauty salon. My references would say I am responsible, reliable, honest, charismatic, and hard-working. I am using a few pieces of art I have created in my current art class as samples of my work. I chose this to showcase my artistic ability and creativity. This sample is a drawing of a dog using the cross-hatching technique. I learned what cross-hatching was and how to do it. Once again, I am a loyal, charismatic, hardworking and honest person. I strive for greatness in anything I do. I am known to work on a task until it achieves perfection. I plan on involving myself in a career that I will enjoy for the rest of my days until retirement. I have learned that being able to create an effective portfolio is extremely important in the competitive business world.
